Assist with troubleshooting and implement process control changes and/or corrective actions to minimize risk.Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the most current specifications, process control, and material production troubleshooting.Possess in-depth knowledge of Concrete Redi-mix plants, Concrete paving operations, aggregate crush/wash processes, and their impact on test results.Understand the science behind Concrete production, aggregates, and applicable calculations.Guarantee that all laboratories and equipment are calibrated, checked, and standardized per AASHTO R18, the Quality Management System and QC Technician Manual.Continually educate oneself to be a compliance expert and take accountability for compliance with the latest specifications, regulations, governing standards and procedures, and production and installation process control.Qualifications:Completion of a High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED).A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in testing concrete, road materials and construction.Knowledge of the principles, practices, specifications, and procedures of the concrete construction industryPossess or can obtain current WisDOT PCC I, II and/or PCC MDC or ACA MDOT (MI) certification.Demonstrated satisfactory performance in directing construction concrete testing.Demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving skills.Capacity to manage multiple complex tasks concurrently.Exceptional skills in both written and oral communication.Willingness to undertake local and regional travel.The Benefits:Competitive compensation aligned with industry standardsEmployer Paid Medical Plan with HRA contribution (eligibility requirements)Dental, Vision, and Life InsuranceFlex Spending Account (FSA)Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Company-paid short and long-term disability coveragePaid parental leaveGenerous PTO and paid holidaysProfit sharingRobust Walbec training and professional development programOngoing career growth opportunitiesWe are an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action employer, and it is our practice to provide equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants.
