Make a meaningful difference each day by supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a rewarding contract role. In this inclusion-based position, you’ll work closely with first and second graders who have a variety of needs, including Developmental Delay, Specific Learning Disability, and Other Health Impairments. Your guidance will help shape students’ academic experiences, offering both in-class support and occasional pull-out services to meet individual learning goals.

This role features a manageable caseload of 12 students, allowing you to dedicate intentional and personalized attention. You’ll collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement effective IEPs, ensuring a holistic approach to student growth.

Ideal candidates will bring:

• A valid Special Education teaching certification
• Previous experience working with elementary-aged students
• Understanding of the unique needs associated with Developmental Delay, SLD, and OHI diagnoses
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Flexibility to adapt instruction in both inclusive and pull-out settings
• Passion for advocating for students and building supportive learning environments

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering targeted instruction within inclusive classrooms and small group/pull-out sessions as directed by IEPs
• Creating engaging, differentiated lesson plans to accommodate a range of learning needs
• Tracking student progress, maintaining compliance with documentation, and contributing to IEP meetings
• Partnering with classroom teachers and related service providers to facilitate student success
• Engaging families as partners in the educational journey
