About the Role

The Company is in need of an Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide executive-level financial leadership during a period of transition. The successful candidate will be a strategic advisor and a hands-on operator, ensuring the organization's financial integrity, and stability, and delivering clear, actionable financial insights. Core responsibilities include overseeing all financial operations, maintaining strong financial policies and compliance standards, and preparing the organization for a smooth transition to a permanent CFO. The Interim CFO will also be tasked with leading cash flow forecasting, and liquidity management, and identifying and mitigating financial and operational risks. Applicants for the Interim CFO position at the company should have a proven track record as an Interim or Transitional CFO, preferably within a nonprofit or mission-driven organization. Extensive experience in cash management, liquidity forecasting, and multi-source funding environments is essential. The role requires a leader who is calm, steady, and composed under pressure, with a hands-on, practical, and solutions-oriented approach. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of nonprofit financial operations, compliance, and governance, and be adept at working with CEOs, Boards of Directors, and Finance Committees. Success in this role will be measured by consistent and accurate financial reporting, a stable cash position, and increased confidence among executive leadership and the Board.
