How You’ll Make an Impact: 

The Recruiter supports RTCA’s recruiting efforts by managing candidates through the full recruitment life cycle, from initial resume review through offer negotiation. This role reviews applications and conducts phone and video prescreens to evaluate candidates’ skill sets, determine which positions and job levels they are best suited for, and make informed recommendations to hiring managers. Working closely with hiring managers and the broader HR team, the Recruiter manages applicants through each stage of the recruiting process, provides regular communication to candidates in the pipeline, and helps negotiate offers that balance candidate expectations, qualifications, and budget considerations. This role requires strong judgment, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage multiple candidates through the pipeline at once.

What you’ll be doing as a Recruiter:

• Working a full-time, onsite position at our Chatsworth, CA location. This is a 6-month temp project with possibility for conversion. 
• Reviews resumes and applications to determine whether candidates meet the qualifications for open positions.
• Proactively sources candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and other professional platforms, crafting compelling outreach messages and making direct phone calls to engage passive candidates and generate genuine interest in working at RTCA. 
• Conducts phone and/or video prescreen interviews to evaluate candidates' qualifications, competencies, and career goals, and determines the positions and job levels for which they are best suited.
• Partners with hiring managers to present well-vetted candidate recommendations, providing insight into qualifications and fit based on prescreen findings. 
• Administers skills testing to candidates as part of the qualification process.
• Coordinates and manages onsite interviews, guiding applicants through each stage of the recruiting process.
• Drives timely feedback from hiring managers to keep the recruiting process moving efficiently.
• Delivers consistent, professional communication to candidates throughout the pipeline, ensuring a positive candidate experience. 
• Develops offer recommendations for the hiring team, balancing candidate expectations, qualifications, and budget parameters. 
• Negotiates offers with candidates, aligning candidate expectations with qualifications and budget considerations to close successfully. 
• Partners with the HR team to support a smooth onboarding experience for new hires. 
• Maintains accurate, well-organized candidate documentation throughout the recruiting life cycle.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications (Education, skills and experience):

• Previous experience performing full-cycle recruiting duties, including resume review, candidate sourcing, and use of an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Previous experience proactively sourcing candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and similar platforms.
• Proven proficiency maintaining accurate recruiting documentation and records.
• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, professional correspondence.
• Comfortable and experienced conducting candidate prescreens by phone and video.
• Strong typing skills, with the ability to take detailed notes while simultaneously screening candidates.
• Ability to develop strong interview questions that assess both hard (technical) and soft (personality) skills.
• Sound judgment and the ability to assess candidates’ skill sets and determine whether they warrant a recommendation to the hiring team.
• Previous experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications (Education, skills and experience):

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or other related field of study. 
• Experience using ADP WorkforceNow. 
• Prior recruiting experience in the aerospace or manufacturing industry.

The Recruiter Compensation range for onsite California applicants is $25 - 30/hr. commensurate with experience. Some shifts may include shift differential pay rates. Other site ranges may differ.}
