CVOR Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This position involves working 3x12-hour night shifts, providing comprehensive nursing care in the cardiovascular operating room.

Responsibilities

Circulate complex cases including:
- Adult Heart and Lung Transplant
- Type A Dissections
- Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
- Valvular surgeries
- Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) repairs
- Diagnostic Laparoscopies
- Exploratory Laparoscopies
- Endovascular Aneurysm Repairs (EVARs, TEVARs, FEVARS)
Scrub for cardiac and vascular cases (preferred but not required)
Collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in CVOR nursing
Experience in circulating complex surgical cases is required
Experience in scrubbing for cardiac and vascular cases is highly preferred
Active registered nursing license for South Carolina or multi-state must be held at the start of the contract
Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), both from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Radiation badge required; provided by the agency

Work Environment

Type of Facility: Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, Magnet Hospital
Total Staffed Beds: 820
Charting System: EPIC
Parking: Registration fee for parking permit required for on-site garage

Please note that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. Kindly ensure that no new assignments are confirmed during this period if it poses a concern.
