Regional Business Director

Position Overview The Regional Business Director (RBD) will be a critical member of the Sales Leadership team, reporting directly to the VP of Sales. The RBD is responsible for developing and executing the region’s business strategy to promote current and future sleep medications, leading a high‑performing sales team, and building strong partnerships with internal colleagues and external customers. Region 8 representatives across Eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and all of New England. Key Responsibilities Identify, recruit, coach, and retain top sales talent. Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse, high‑performing sales team to exceed sales goals. Own the development and execution of the region’s business plan, customizing it to meet the needs of the business and brand strategies and delivering compliant sales growth. Collaborate extensively with internal partners (Medical Affairs, Patient Services, Field Reimbursement, Market Access, Marketing, Commercial Operations, Commercial Learning, Compliance, etc.) and external stakeholders to develop optimal access and establish positive business interactions. Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of related experience, including at least 3 years in a management position such as Regional Manager or Product Manager. Cross‑functional experience in training, commercial operations, reimbursement, market access, or similar roles. Track record of successfully building and coaching sales teams. Account‑based experience and coaching skills in niche therapeutic areas such as orphan disease, rare disease, specialty pharmacy, or buy‑and‑bill; experience in the neurology market is highly desired. Proven sales performance demonstrated by quota attainment, ranking reports, and recognition awards in specialty pharma markets. In‑depth understanding of reimbursement/insurance coverage for physician‑administered treatments and strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory and enforcement environments. Strong verbal and written communication skills, high ethical standards, and the ability to work cross‑functionally and autonomously to identify new business opportunities.
