ES3 HR GeneralistThe ES3 HR Generalist will work in beautiful downtown San Diego, CA in the day-to-day operations of business. Working for both internal and external customers from a private office with floor to ceiling windows, contemporary office furnishings and exceptional office equipment, this individual will support human resources compliance, workforce policy issues, benefits administration and staff engagement activities. With intention, purpose and thoroughness, the position holder will be a key team member in ES3 HR's delivery of stellar support to corporate leadership, accounting, engineers, scientists, technicians administrative staff, vendors, and customers.This role requires an individual to possess a strong work ethic guided by high integrity, discretion and respect for confidentiality and discernment in safeguarding sensitive information. Will serve as point of contact for human resources questions, issues or concerns. The Human Resources Generalist will implement corporate culture objectives and methods for providing stellar service to staff, key stakeholders and support internal department audits to ensure compliance with regulatory policies as directed.ES3's corporate headquarters provides support for it's Aerospace Engineering locations in Utah, Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas and Florida.Essential Job Functions:Assist department in performing routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; worker's compensation, disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and developmentSupport corporate benefit and wellness program administration with staff and external vendorsTrack and monitor required training and compliance schedules per federal and/or state agenciesMaintain and report corporate review metrics and survey data analysis on various HR technology platforms through consistent and planned staff engagement activitiesAssist with the recruitment workflow for job postings, applicant review, interviews, hiring and onboarding of technical and professional staff through use of established platforms.Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for position vacanciesInitiate background check screenings and employee eligibility verifications, offer letter recordkeeping, new hire orientation and onboarding activitiesRespond to employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staffMaintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law, utilizing trade journals, newsletters, and government reports and/or attending training courses.Performs other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:Knowledge of PC operating system and knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Office)Functional Knowledge of Quickbooks Enterprise ProKnowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat for management of filing and record keeping systemsA functional working knowledge of ADP Workforcenow (Comprehensive HR, Payroll, Custom Reporting, Workforce Data Analysis)Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritizeKnowledge of established recruitment platforms to maintain ES3 presenceAbility to communicate effectively in-person and online through Teams, telephone, email, and other written forms of correspondenceMust be self-motivated and have ability to follow directions without constant supervisionMust have a strong work ethic and high integrity with confidential and sensitive informationMust have professional attitude and demeanorMust be efficient, dependable and reliable to complete projects in assigned timeframe. Ability to prioritize.Ability to talk to others to convey information effectively with sensitivity, relatability and empathyEducation & Experience:Bachelors Degree in Business, Organization Management, Human Resource Management, Economics, Pre-Law, or related major preferred3-5+ years of experience in Human Resource ManagementExperience working in a compliance management capacityExperience with Microsoft Office products, primarily Word, Excel, and PowerpointProficient user of ADP Workforcenow and Quickbooks PROTeamKeeper, preferredOther Requirements:Must be a U.S. CitizenSupervisory Responsibility:This position has no supervisory responsibilitiesPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time in-office position.Hours of work are Monday through Friday40 hours per week.Travel:Ability to travel on occasion to other ES3 locations may be required as needed.
