Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher (RSP M/M) within a dynamic school setting. This role begins as soon as possible and extends through June 19, 2027, offering the chance to make a lasting impact over multiple school years.

The position is focused on serving a caseload of approximately 32 students, working 6.5 hours per day (32.5 hours per week). You’ll play a key role in fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments and making a difference for students with mild to moderate disabilities.

Desired Qualifications

• Valid and current California Special Education Teaching Credential (Mild/Moderate)
• Previous experience in a school setting preferred, especially as a Resource Specialist Program (RSP) Teacher
• Cleared to start immediately, with all required background checks and CA credentialing complete
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with classroom teachers, specialists, administrators, and families
• Proficiency in creating and implementing IEPs, and adapting curriculum to meet individualized student needs
• Effective time management and organizational abilities for managing caseload, documentation, and meetings

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction to students with mild to moderate disabilities
• Assess student needs, plan lessons, and implement strategies to support academic and behavioral growth
• Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and update IEPs as needed
• Work in partnership with general education teachers to modify curricula and ensure classroom accommodations
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
• Build rapport with students and their families, fostering a positive and encouraging classroom atmosphere
