Dean, we are committed to building the next generation of technical leaders in electrical, engineering, and cybersecurity industries.We are seeking a Tech Specialist 4 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for commercial customers across high-growth markets. ResponsibilitiesPlan, schedule, and manage technical deliveries and engineering projects, including scope, dependencies, risks, and milestonesDefine, document, and maintain project delivery standards, templates, checklists, and processes across engineering teamsConfigure and administer Jira, including workflows, issue types, fields, dashboards, and automation, and drive consistent usage across teamsOrganize and prepare detailed documentation of project and system performance, including status reports, service request records, and analysis for leadership and customersAnalyze system and project performance and recommend process and technical improvementsTrain engineers, project teams, and system users on delivery standards, tools, and systemsServe as primary coordination point for manufacturers and vendors on behalf of engineering, including onboarding, meeting scheduling, and communication cadenceTrack manufacturer support cases, RMAs, and firmware or product issues through resolution, escalating as needed to minimize impact on engineering and deploymentsConduct and coordinate research and evaluation of new system manufacturers, such as access control, intrusion detection, and closed circuit television systemsConduct in depth research and evaluate the research of Technical Specialists in order to evaluate existing and future systemsRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, SOPs, and statements of work (SOW)Interface with engineering team to ensure design and delivery efficiencyCoordinate research and development of entire systems, ensuring interoperability and constructability scenarios are analyzedApply working knowledge of networking and system administration principles to understand, triage, and route technical issuesCoordinate test lab scheduling, equipment maintenance, and vendor evaluation hardwareInterface with internal and external customersCoordinate with field personnel and/or engineering team to discuss any potential installation issuesTriage and coordinate support requests from field personnel and system administrators on installation issues, and coordinate post-deployment support, including on-site as neededPerform all duties with minimal direct supervisionQualificationsEducation/Experience:High School Diploma with 12+ years of experience with installation, troubleshooting and/or testing of electronic security systems orAssociates with 10+ years of experience orBachelor's Degree with 7+ years experience orMaster's Degree with 5+ years experienceSystem administrator experience in performing triage on system problems, resolving the system problems, analyzing system data to prevent problems, and implementing new workstations and system extensionsVendor certifications for electronic systems preferredReliable attendance at customer site during work hours required by customerAbility to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional nights and weekendsAbility to travel up to 15%What we offer:A collaborative team inspired by the way engineering and innovation enhance customer outcomes, improve lives, and change the world for the better.
