Job Title

Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Clinical Decision Unit

Schedule / Job Type

Contract – 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed inpatient overflow unit serving a mixed level of care including medical-surgical and step-down patients
• Manage care for short-stay patients with a length of stay under 24 hours in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment
• Monitor and interpret telemetry for all patients hardwired to bedside monitors as indicated
• Collaborate with charge nurses, fellow RNs, and CNAs across day and night shifts to maintain patient safety and quality outcomes
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR
• Float to other units within the facility as needed based on staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of Progressive Care (PCU/Step-down) experience
• Demonstrated telemetry competency
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Recent progressive care experience in a similar acuity setting
• Experience with Cerner EMR
• Positive, patient-experience-focused attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills
