Permanent Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology

Shift: Flexible 24-hour in-house shifts providing continuous NICU coverage
Position Details:
Patient Population: Neonates, including critically ill newborns
Setting: Level III NICU
Responsibilities: Provide advanced neonatal care; participate in 24/7 in-house NNP coverage; manage daily NICU patients; perform daily neonatal rounding and patient management; deliver acute NICU care; attend high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitations; perform neonatal procedures based on clinical competency and experience; collaborate with neonatologists and multidisciplinary NICU staff; contribute to a collaborative practice environment; deliver evidence-based neonatal care focused on quality, safety, and patient outcomes.
Required Procedures: Attend high-risk deliveries, neonatal resuscitations, NICU procedures based on clinical competency and experience
Support Staff: Neonatologists, Multidisciplinary NICU Staff, Neonatal Transport Team, Pediatric and Neonatal Subspecialty Support Services
On-Call/Weekends: 24/7 in-house NNP coverage with physician support; Weekend coverage included within rotating 24-hour shift schedule
Submission Requirements:
- Current APRN national specialty certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) - Required
- Minimum Master s Degree in Nursing - Required
- Florida APRN License or eligibility to obtain - Required
- Neonatal/NICU clinical experience - Required
