Salary: $125,000 - $140,000 per year A bit about us: We are seeking an experienced Defense & Military Sales Manager to drive growth across U.S. Department of Defense, federal government, military, law-enforcement and public-safety markets. This individual will own strategic accounts and new business development across the government and defense ecosystem, working with organizations such as DLA, Natick and PEO, along with prime contractors, manufacturers, converters and other program partners. The role combines technical solution selling, strategic account management and new business development, with responsibility for both near-term revenue and longer-term opportunities tied to future programs, specifications, product qualifications and Berry Amendment-compliant solutions. This is a remote position, with candidates required to reside in the Central U.S. within reasonable driving distance of a major international airport. Job Details Key Responsibilities: Own and grow strategic accounts across government, military, defense and government-adjacent markets. Identify, develop and close new business opportunities while maintaining a strong qualified pipeline. Develop relationships with government stakeholders, end users, prime contractors, manufacturers, converters, distributors and program partners. Lead complex technical sales opportunities involving multiple stakeholders, product specifications, qualification requirements and customer trials. Develop customer-specific value propositions and business cases that support profitable growth. Negotiate commercial terms, supply arrangements, long-term agreements and strategic partnerships. Build strategic account plans with defined revenue targets, milestones and customer engagement strategies. Own monthly, quarterly and annual revenue forecasts across assigned accounts and programs. Maintain accurate CRM opportunities, account plans, forecasts and commercialization timelines. Partner with technical, product, manufacturing, operations and commercial teams throughout qualification and product-launch activities. Identify and develop longer-term opportunities associated with future military programs, specifications and compliant sourcing requirements. Provide commercial leadership and accountability across assigned accounts and opportunities. Qualifications: 10+ years of progressive experience in business development, strategic account management, sales leadership or complex solution selling. Strong knowledge of the military, defense or federal government market. Experience managing complex sales opportunities involving technical development, customer trials, qualification processes and multiple decision-makers. Experience with engineered materials, technical manufacturing processes, or value-added industrial solutions. Demonstrated success growing strategic accounts and developing new revenue opportunities. Experience building relationships with enterprise-level customers and senior decision-makers. Demonstrated commercial leadership experience, including coaching or supporting sales professionals. Professional fluency in English and Spanish, including the ability to conduct meetings, negotiations and presentations. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline. Ability to travel approximately 40–50% domestically and internationally. Preferred Experience: Experience selling into or working with the U.S. Department of Defense and military/government organizations. Familiarity with DLA, DLA Troop Support, Natick Soldier Center, PEO Soldier or similar organizations. Understanding of military product qualification, specifications and government procurement processes. Experience with Berry Amendment-compliant products or supply chains.
