Payroll Specialist

The Payroll Specialist delivers the highest level of quality service to our employees ensuring prompt resolutions. This position receives routine payroll related customer inquiries which range from general to moderate complexity and require limited research to resolve.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Delivers a high level of customer service and professionalism when responding to payroll inquiries from internal customers.
• Responds timely to payroll questions providing a first call resolution.
• Logs all calls accurately to allow tracking of service inquiries and resolutions.
• Analyzes details of requests provided by internal customers to determine the cause of the issue.
• Investigates submitted requests to provide effective solutions.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

Qualifications:

• Experience with high volume customer service environments.
• Minimum 1 year Payroll Experience
• Intermediate level of MS Excel skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in high-volume, fast paced environment with strict deadlines.
• Workday Experience Preferred

This position is a hybrid role based at Republic Service's headquarters in Phoenix, AZ. Hybrid is 4-days per week onsite, and 1-day remote. This position will not be eligible to be fully remote.
