Make a positive impact supporting students with special needs in Siskiyou County, CA! A full-time opportunity is available for a skilled Special Education Teacher to provide quality instruction and serve a caseload of 28 students or fewer. This contract position is primarily on-site with possible consideration for VOCO (virtual/on-campus hybrid) arrangements based on current needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential (CA or eligible for reciprocity)
- Experience working with mild to moderate disability populations
- Strong classroom management and individualized instruction capabilities
- Established skills in IEP planning, documentation, and collaboration
- Flexibility to adapt to student needs and emerging situations
- Commitment to fostering a welcoming learning environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction aligned with students’ IEPs
- Develop lesson plans tailored to unique learning profiles
- Monitor progress, maintaining accurate, compliant records
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies to reach diverse learners
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute thoughtful insight for student growth goals
