Join Our Team as an Academic Emergency Medicine Physician

The Department of Emergency Medicine at our organization, a prominent teaching hospital affiliated with a leading medical school, is on the lookout for an academic Emergency Medicine attending physician to enhance our exceptional faculty in Boston, MA. Faculty positions at the medical school are available at the instructor, assistant, or associate professor levels, depending on qualifications and experience.

Position Overview:

We are in search of an enthusiastic and driven academic Emergency Medicine physician dedicated to promoting clinical excellence, scholarly research, and medical education within a prestigious academic medical center. This role presents a remarkable opportunity for those passionate about teaching, research, innovation, and delivering high-quality patient care in a supportive and collaborative atmosphere. As a member of our vibrant team, you will play a key role in developing or expanding a specialized area of research expertise. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional and compassionate clinical care in a high-acuity urban academic emergency department.
• Engage in the education and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Participate in academic endeavors such as research, quality improvement, education, informatics, administration, or other scholarly activities aligned with your interests.
• Collaborate with a diverse, multidisciplinary team of emergency medicine professionals focused on advancing the field and enhancing patient outcomes.
• Contribute to the department’s academic and strategic objectives through clinical service, scholarly involvement, and leadership opportunities.

Qualifications:

• MD or an equivalent medical degree.
• Board certification (or eligibility) in Emergency Medicine.
• A demonstrated commitment to academic emergency medicine, with interests in areas such as medical education, clinical innovation, health equity, operations, research, or quality and safety.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Massachusetts.

Compensation Range:

$130,000 - $325,700
