Job Overview

Location: All over Alameda County, generally around the Alameda County City Hall. Start: January – as soon as possible. Hourly Pay: $28–$30/hr, W2 Only. Mileage will be reimbursed when traveling away from city hall.

Job Description

This is a Search and destroy task assigned by the County of Alameda. The role requires going through all government locations within the county with testing equipment to look through every phone that is still active but not being used and cannot be located.

Try to identify what extension is tied to each phone and document it based on location. Some sites have 3 or 4 devices; some sites, like city hall, have over 400 that need to be tracked down.

Responsibilities

• Go through all government locations within the county using testing equipment.
• Identify each phone that is active but not being used and cannot be located.
• Determine the extension tied to each phone and document it based on location.
• Assist with the phone system update by converting analog phones to Avaya.
• Communicate what work is being done without interacting with end users.

Skills & Qualifications

• Knows how to plug a phone in.
• Knows how to dial.
• Knows how to troubleshoot it if there are any issues.
• Has experience with Avaya – plus.
