Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of two years of acute care experience within the last three years License: RN license required Certifications: BLS required - AHA only Must-Have: Epic experience required Must pass Telemetry test prior to start Description: Evening/Night, 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational needs. Must have experience in acute care settings. The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient-centered care. The environment values collaboration, respect, and diversity. Nurses will care for patients with a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses. The unit is a fast-paced, 28-bed medical-surgical unit. Nurses will work with state-of-the-art technology and evidence-based practice. Participation in quality improvement initiatives is encouraged. Collaboration in the development and evaluation of multidisciplinary plans of care is required. Expected patient diagnoses include COPD, heart failure, hypertension, diabetes, alcohol dependence, infections, and mental status changes. The nurse will be involved in the management of various procedures including but not limited to bariatric weight loss, orthopedic surgeries, and post-surgical care. Specialized training in telemetry is required.
