Step into a dynamic school environment supporting junior high students’ communication success in a collaborative educational setting. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity is designed to provide impactful speech-language pathology services during a maternity leave, beginning as soon as possible through October 6, 2026. The position is conveniently located near Westerville, OH.
In this role, you’ll work closely with students, educators, and families to help junior high learners overcome communication barriers, making a meaningful difference every day.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current, active SLP-CCC licensure in Ohio
- Previous experience working in school settings, specifically with junior high school-aged students
- Strong assessment, treatment, and documentation skills for a variety of speech and language disorders
- Proficient in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, and educational staff
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities to manage caseload and meet deadlines
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to junior high students, targeting individual student needs
- Complete thorough evaluations and assessments to guide IEP development and intervention planning
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) in accord with school and state requirements
- Keep accurate records and deliver regular progress reports on student outcomes
- Serve as a resource for teachers and families, offering strategies and support for speech-language challenges within the classroom
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing professional insights to help shape student success
