Travel Electrophysiology Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,710–$2,920
• Assignment Type: Travel healthcare contract
• Assignment Length: 26 weeks
• Start Date: November 23, 2026
• Schedule: 4 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts, generally 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
• Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week
• Call: Limited EP call coverage from approximately 6:00–8:00 p.m. when needed; team members may remain until procedures are complete
• Weekends: Some Saturdays are included as part of the regular four-shift schedule; rotating weekend call may be required
• Charting: Epic
• Clinical Environment: Magnet-designated acute-care hospital and Level II trauma center with approximately 407 staffed beds
• Schedule Flexibility: Block scheduling may be considered based on department needs

Electrophysiology Technologist Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Electrophysiology Technologist, EP lab, or cardiovascular procedural technology experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrated experience in EP procedures, diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, and sterile procedural technique
• Ability to accurately monitor and interpret hemodynamics and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias
• Experience with equipment setup, procedural support, and maintaining a sterile field
• Familiarity with Epic documentation; experience with Mac-Lab or Cardio Lab systems is preferred
• Experience with cardiac mapping, ablations, cardioversion, conduction studies, pacemaker and AICD procedures, and EP evaluations is preferred
• Experience supporting advanced procedures such as TAVR, Impella, TandemHeart, STEMI response, atherectomy, thrombectomy, and structural heart interventions is highly valued
• Willingness to float within scope to like units or nearby affiliated facilities when needed
• Travelers must maintain a permanent residence at least 50 miles from the assignment location

Electrophysiology Technologist Responsibilities

• Prepare EP lab and procedure rooms, equipment, supplies, and monitoring systems for electrophysiology and cardiovascular cases
• Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies, ablations, CRM device implants, and structural heart procedures
• Support procedures involving STEMI care, IABP, Impella, TandemHeart, TAVR, mitral clip, PFO closure, and other advanced cardiovascular interventions
• Assist with interventional radiology and neurointerventional procedures, including embolization, vascular access, thrombectomy, and related interventions
• Perform accurate baseline measurements, hemodynamic monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and EKG lead placement
• Operate and prepare procedural equipment while maintaining strict sterile technique
• Support physicians and the interdisciplinary team throughout procedures and respond appropriately to changing patient conditions
• Document procedures and patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
• Remain with the late procedural team as needed to complete scheduled cases and provide limited evening call coverage
• Promote a safe, organized, and collaborative environment for patients and procedural staff
