Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Foot Patrol in East Syracuse, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while using technology to document and report security-related activity. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Wed 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Thur 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial facilities, including production areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter. Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and reporting unauthorized access concerns according to site procedures. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting events accurately. Prepare clear reports and maintain communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts regarding daily activities, incidents, and security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements: Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
