Project Manager - Multifamily Construction

Job Description

Insight Global is assisting a multifamily construction client of ours in identifying a Multifamily Construction Project Manager for a direct hire opening they have. The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of multifamily construction—including scheduling, budget management, vendor coordination, and site performance—to ensure each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. Candidates must have a proven track record of completing multifamily projects in a leadership role.

• Manage ground-up multifamily projects from pre-construction through turnover.

• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and with superior quality and safety.

• Review drawings, proposals, and project documents to define scope, timelines, and resource needs.

• Lead subcontractor procurement, contracting, and performance management.

• Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and all project documentation.

• Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and trade coordination.

• Prepare material take-offs, establish cost estimates, and track procurement schedules.

• Coordinate with internal development teams, engineers, architects, and inspectors.

• Maintain strong relationships with ownership, subcontractors, suppliers, and jurisdictional authorities.

• Manage project financials, forecasting, and reporting.

• Organize and oversee multiple activities and deadlines while maintaining professionalism and integrity.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager specifically in multifamily construction.

• Proven record of success on large and/or complex multifamily projects. 150 units or more.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.

• Proficiency with construction technology; Procore, Autodesk, BuilderTrend, etc.

• Strong understanding of vertical construction sequencing, MEP systems, and site development.
