Senior Business Analyst

Our client, a leading organization in healthcare modernization and public health initiatives, is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join their team. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be part of the Healthcare Interoperability Department supporting the California Department of Health Care Services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Senior Business Analyst

Location: Primarily remote in greater Sacramento area.

Pay Range: $56.00 to $62.00 per hour

What's the Job?

• Support advancement of PAL Stage 2 and Stage 3 activities, deliverables, reviews, and approvals.
• Analyze business, technical, operational, and compliance requirements to support project planning and decision-making.
• Lead or support Alternatives Analysis activities for PAL Stage 2, including market research and vendor evaluation.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including requirements, architecture, and status reports.
• Facilitate stakeholder discussions, working sessions, and review meetings to ensure project alignment and progress.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis, project analysis, or solution development on complex technology projects.
• Hands-on experience supporting PAL artifacts, requirements documentation, and project planning materials.
• Healthcare project experience, especially involving Medicaid, healthcare data exchange, or CMS initiatives.
• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR, HL7, and APIs.
• Proficiency with tools like Jira, SharePoint, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office suite.
