The Role

Karpo is looking for a Field Marketing & Community Coordinator to help build our presence across New York City through people, communities, and real-world experiences.

You’ll own the day-to-day development of Karpo’s local community network—from Campus Leads and Ambassadors to NYC Hosts, community builders, creators, venues, and cultural partners—and turn those relationships into programs and activations that increase awareness, participation, and real product usage.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is highly organized, naturally social, culturally curious, and excellent at making things happen. You should be equally comfortable building a program from scratch, managing dozens of relationships, coordinating an activation, and being out in NYC meeting the people shaping what’s happening next.

What You'll Do

• Manage Karpo’s NYC community network, including Campus Ambassadors, NYC Hosts, and other local community partners.
• Recruit, onboard, brief, motivate, and manage ambassadors and hosts while building systems, communications, and playbooks needed to scale the programs.
• Develop strong relationships across NYC communities and turn those relationships into culturally relevant events, partnerships, sponsorships, community programs, and field activation.
• Own execution from concept through follow-up, including outreach, schedules, vendors, guest lists, ambassadors, logistics, materials, and on-site coordination.
• Identify high-leverage communities and organizers who can introduce Karpo to groups of people rather than focusing only on one-to-one acquisition and build repeatable playbooks, communications, and systems that help ambassador and host programs scale.
• Stay close to NYC culture and continuously surface emerging communities, events, creators, venues, partnerships, and opportunities where Karpo should show up.
• Work with Brand, Growth, Product, and Content teams to make sure field programs support broader campaigns, generate content opportunities, and contribute to measurable business outcomes.
• Track program performance, ambassador activity, budgets, partnerships, and learnings; identify what is working and turn winning approaches into repeatable playbooks.
• Maintain a high bar for taste, quality, and brand fit across the people, partnerships, communities, and experiences associated with Karpo.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, ideally in Marketing, Communications, Business, Hospitality, Event Management, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in field marketing, community, partnerships, experiential, events, ambassador programs, creator marketing, hospitality, or a related role.
• Experience managing communities, ambassador networks, events, partnerships, or multi-stakeholder programs.
• Experience with creator/KOL, referral, or ambassador incentive programs.
• Strong project-management and organizational skills; comfortable managing multiple workstreams, timelines, partners, and details at once.
• Deep familiarity with NYC neighborhoods, communities, culture, and social scenes.
• Comfortable spending significant time in the field and working occasional evenings or weekends around events and activations.
• Proactive, resourceful, and able to operate independently in a fast-moving startup environment.

• Built or managed a campus ambassador, host, membership, or community program.
• Existing relationships across NYC universities, creators, venues, nightlife, hospitality, music, fashion, food, wellness, or cultural communities.
• Led a student organization, event series, creative collective, or community.
• Strong social-content instincts and an eye for moments worth capturing.
• The kind of person friends ask “What’s happening this weekend?”
