Litigation Attorney

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are a general practice law firm looking for an Attorney to join our firm.Potential candidates must have the ability to prioritize, multi-task and must work well in a team environment. The ideal candidate would also possess mid to high level computer skills, superior communication and written skills, and be highly organized and detail oriented.Responsibilities:Manage a caseload from intake through resolution.Represent clients in court hearings, motions, trials, mediations, and settlement conferences.Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, subpoenas, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, court rules, and case law.Develop case strategies tailored to each client’s legal needs and objectives.Conduct client consultations and maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status and legal options.Prepare for and conduct depositions, evidentiary hearings, and examinations of witnesses.Negotiate settlements and agreements with opposing counsel.Review discovery and evaluate evidence, financial documents, medical records, and other case materials.Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure cases are prepared efficiently and deadlines are met.Attend court appearances throughout the local area as required.Maintain accurate and timely case files, billing records, and court deadlines.Demonstrate professionalism and strong advocacy skills when communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and the Court.Manage multiple cases and competing deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.​Qualifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Active license to practice law in the State of MichiganMinimum of one year previous experience in Personal InjuryRequires knowledge of Michigan No Fault law along with familiarity with personal injury\nCompany DescriptionPLEASANT WORKING ENVIRONMENT IN VERY BUSY LAW FIRM.Company DescriptionPLEASANT WORKING ENVIRONMENT IN VERY BUSY LAW FIRM.
