Associate Attorney - Personal Injury

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in personal injury litigation in Southfield, MI. This role offers the opportunity to work with an experienced legal team, manage cases from intake through resolution, and develop litigation skills through mediation, arbitration, and trial exposure. Duties Manage personal injury matters from intake through resolution. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents. Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel. Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial. Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to move cases effectively. Maintain strong, responsive communication with clients throughout their case. Manage deadlines and caseload while maintaining a high standard of legal representation. Requirements J.D. from an accredited law school. Active Michigan law license in good standing. 2+ years of personal injury experience preferred. Personal injury law firm or related litigation experience strongly preferred. Strong writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills. Ability to manage cases and competing deadlines effectively. A collaborative approach and genuine commitment to client service. Desire to continue developing as a litigator and grow with the firm. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.)
