Physician Assistant

General Duties Practice: Obtain patient histories and perform physical examinations; interpret lab values and imaging; manage complaints; oversee treatment and referrals; perform diagnostic procedures; develop treatment plans; document findings; monitor effectiveness; refer to specialist services; provide counseling; assist in surgical cases; perform suturing and wound care; aid preoperative evaluation; prepare consent forms. Consultation: Assist nursing and office staff with telephone triage and follow-up; collaborate with health professionals; participate in committees and task forces; serve as role model and resource. Research: Participate in IRB‑approved protocols and collect data; conduct patient interviews and chart reviews; stay abreast of clinical research; integrate findings into education programs; evaluate program impact. Professional Development: Promote staff development; participate in educational programs and current literature; maintain certification and licensure as required. Education Qualifications Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program (MS‑PAS). Licenses and Certifications Current PA License in the State of Louisiana from the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Reporting Relationships Does this position formally supervise employees?
