Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/03/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Trauma Unit) Location Omaha, NE Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days (3x12 Hours, 7:00–19:00) | 36 or 48 hour per week options available | 13 or 26 week contract options available | Onsite Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on a fast-paced, 45-bed medical/surgical trauma unit serving hemodynamically and medically stable trauma patients Care for patients admitted from the emergency department, transferred from the ICU, or admitted from surgical and procedural services, addressing both acute and chronic trauma needs Administer and monitor IV drips as required across all floors Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records Float within scope of practice to other units and campuses as needed to meet facility staffing needs Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport team, paramedics, and LPNs where assigned Required Qualifications Active or pending Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of Nebraska (pending license accepted; if not in hand at time of submission, start date will be booked six weeks out) Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Proficiency with EPIC charting system required Experience administering IV drips required Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted) Preferred Experience / Skills Experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center (may be considered in lieu of prior travel experience for first-time travelers) Familiarity with trauma or high-acuity medical/surgical patient populations Comfort with frequent floating across multiple units and campuses Why Join Us Opportunity to work at the top-rated hospital in the Omaha metro area and the state of Nebraska, a large academic medical center affiliated with a nationally recognized research and education institution Flexible contract length and hours-per-week options allow you to tailor the assignment to your professional goals Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID #756698.
