Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: BLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS certifications, at least 2 years of relevant clinical experience, Nebraska nursing license, and the ability to start on 08/03/2026.
• Preferred Qualifications: Travel experience is preferred but not required; strong candidates without travel background will also be considered.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other medical-surgical units with MedSurg patients.
• Additional notes: Candidates must pass a pass/fail exam during orientation with a passing score of 90%. The unit emphasizes hourly rounding, responsiveness, teamwork, and cultural competency. Candidates should be comfortable interpreting tele monitoring systems and managing a diverse patient population.
• Responsibilities: Monitoring telemetry, titrating drips such as heparin, lidocaine, and ketamine, reading telemetry strips, and providing compassionate patient care.
• Certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS are required.
• Additional Notes: Mechanical lifts are available in some rooms; the unit values team players who prioritize patient safety and respond quickly to patient needs.
