What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care to adult patients, including those with sepsis, cellulitis, DVT/PE, CHF, COPD, COVID, and PNA
• Manage post-op overflow cases, including total joints and GI/Abdominal surgeries
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including wound management and catheter care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as RT, OT, PT, and hospitalist staff
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Support unit activities and float across various Med/Surg areas
• Pass an EKG competency exam prior to arrival and demonstrate skills in wound care, PCA, pain management, and IV management

What You Need

• Required: Active RN license in Louisiana; BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; minimum of 2 years acute care RN experience
• Preferred: Experience in Med/Surg and telemetry units; wound care skills; ability to float, pass competency exams, and support a fast-paced environment
