Job Title: Machine Set-Up/Operator

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas throughout the shift.

• Set-Up machine to prepare for production runs

• Operate and ensure machine is running correctly

• Perform packing tasks as needed to support production and shipping schedules.

• Follow detailed instructions from adjusters and supervisors to support machine setup and operation.

• Work alongside other adjusters and team members to meet production goals and quality standards.

• Use basic hand tools and demonstrate mechanical aptitude when assisting with machine adjustments or minor tasks.

• Monitor work for accuracy and quality, demonstrating strong attention to detail.

• Perform physically demanding tasks, including walking, bending, reaching, and lifting, throughout the shift.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of experience in mechanical, production, or machine operating work.

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools safely and effectively.

• Ability to pass math, ruler, and mechanical tests as part of the hiring process.

• Capability to perform physical tasks such as walking, bending, reaching, and lifting for the duration of the shift.

• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate machine setup and quality output.

• Ability to follow instructions carefully and work cooperatively alongside other adjusters and team members.

• Good, steady work history, including more than 2 years at one company within the past 10 years.

• Motivated, reliable, and committed to consistent attendance and performance.

• Willingness and ability to work 2nd shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

• Experience in packaging, metals, printing, or converting industries.

• General production, assembly, or general labor experience supporting machine operation or setup.

• Experience with printing or working with inks in a production setting.

• Comfort working around large industrial machinery and performing basic machine setup tasks.

• Familiarity with operating or assisting with multiple types of production machines.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Gurnee, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
