Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments of patients and their families, identifying emotional, social, and environmental strengths as well as challenges they face related to their detoxification process.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based interventions tailored to each patient's unique circumstances and needs.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, collaborating on patient care strategies and engaging families in the treatment process.

• Facilitate discharge planning, coordinating with healthcare providers, payers, and community resources to ensure smooth transitions and continued care post-treatment.

• Offer education and counseling focused on adapting to life changes, coping strategies for the detox process, and long-term recovery planning.

• Implement crisis intervention techniques as needed, and provide both brief and long-term individual, group, and family therapy sessions.

• Stay informed on best practices and participate in continuing education to maintain expertise in psychosocial oncology and addiction treatment.

• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as required.
\n
• Engage with community services through education and outreach initiatives to promote awareness and resources available to those affected by substance use.

• Mentor and supervise new social workers and interns, fostering professional development and excellence within the field.

Compensation and Benefits\n
