Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial and ongoing comprehensive assessments of clients to determine their mental and emotional health needs.

• Work collaboratively with a dedicated treatment team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and fellow social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.

• Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in social work and addiction treatment to continually enhance the effectiveness of interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client population includes individuals navigating detoxification and early recovery phases from substance use disorders, often coupled with co-occurring mental health conditions. You will work with a diverse range of clients, employing a trauma-informed approach to foster trust and facilitate healing in a safe environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.

• Active LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) license in the state of California.

• Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the capability to think critically and adapt intervention techniques as needed.

• Experience working with clients in a substance use recovery setting is highly desirable.

Preferred Experience\n

While experience in a detox setting is preferred, we value diverse social work backgrounds. Candidates with experience in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), will be given priority. Knowledge of community resources in San Jose and surrounding areas will also be beneficial.
