Dutchman Hospitality Group is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our corporate finance team. This is a full-time accounting role with room for growth, working closely with our Accounting Supervisor and gaining hands-on experience across core accounting and finance functions in the hospitality industry .

What You’ll Do
- Support month-end and year-end close , including journal entries, account reconciliations , and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare financial reports and variance analysis to help leadership make informed decisions
- Process and manage Accounts Payable (AP) , including invoice processing, vendor payments , and expense reporting
- Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing using Paycor or similar HRIS/payroll software
- Help document, audit, and streamline internal accounting procedures and workflows
- Support accounts receivable (AR), bank reconciliations , and audit preparation as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite , with intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
- Experience with Sage accounting software a plus (Sage 100, Sage 300, or similar ERP)
- Familiarity with Paycor payroll software a plus
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Comfortable working with confidential financial data
Education & Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred (or equivalent work experience)
- 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, General Ledger , or a related accounting clerk / bookkeeping role preferred
- Experience in hospitality, restaurant, or multi-unit accounting a plus
Physical Requirements
- Primarily sedentary office role; requires sitting for extended periods
- Occasional reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
