Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Calhoun Families First Center, you will:

• Manage a caseload of clients, establishing and nurturing positive therapeutic relationships while adhering to professional ethics and boundaries.

• Conduct regular sessions with clients to assess their progress, address concerns, and discuss upcoming appointments or discharge plans when appropriate.
\n
• Design, implement, and evaluate personalized treatment plans that align with each client's unique goals and requirements.
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in accordance with best practice standards to facilitate effective service delivery.
\n
• Perform comprehensive intake assessments to determine individual client needs and identify appropriate treatment pathways.
\n
• Engage in individual therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to address mental health challenges faced by clients.

• Participate consistently in individual supervision for case review, professional growth, and feedback.
\n
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and community resources to promote holistic client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clinic focuses primarily on youth and families dealing with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, and substance use disorders. As a practitioner, you will engage with a diverse clientele, providing essential support that empowers individuals to navigate their mental health challenges and achieve their life goals.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.

• Eligibility to meet internal credentialing requirements within relevant clinical settings.

Preferred Experience\n

We prefer candidates who have:

• A minimum of one year’s experience in working with psychiatric patients and/or individuals experiencing substance use challenges.

• Previous experience conducting assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and delivering both individual and group therapy.

• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, with basic keyboarding skills.

Compensation and Benefits\n
