Health and Safety Manager

Safety, Health & Environmental ManagerOur client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Safety, Health & Environmental Manager to join their team. As a Safety, Health & Environmental Manager, you will be part of the safety and compliance department supporting site safety initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to safety management, which will align successfully in the organization.Location: Ronkonkoma, NYPay Range: $50.48 - $52.88/hrShift: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm Duration: 4-month assignment to cover a leave of absence (LOA), with the possibility of an extension.What's the Job?Maintain a visible presence on the production floor and conduct regular safety observations.Investigate and report incidents as needed to ensure safety compliance.Provide support and coverage across all shifts, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift operations.Prepare and present monthly safety reports to management.Serve as a strong leader and communicator, promoting a culture of safety and health throughout the facility.What's Needed?Minimum of 3 years experience as a Safety, Health & Environmental ManagerOSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 certification preferred.Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.Ability to work effectively across all shifts, including early mornings and late nights.Experience supporting safety and compliance activities in a manufacturing environment.Ability to build positive relationships with employees while confidently enforcing safety policies and procedures.What's in it for me?Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on workplace safety and culture.Supportive environment that values safety, health, and environmental sustainability.Chance to develop leadership skills within a dynamic team.Engagement in a collaborative and inclusive workplace.Potential for extension or future opportunities within the organization.Upon completion of waiting period associates are eligible for:Medical and Prescription Drug PlansDental PlanSupplemental Life InsuranceShort Term Disability Insurance401(k)
