Controls Engineering Technician - Powers - Gulf Coast (Metairie, LA)

Duties and Responsibilities We are looking for a reliable person to add to our Controls Engineering team to help generate control drawings and submittal packages. Responsibilities include drafting, engineering, submittals, and closeout documents. Generate control drawings using Siemens Design Tool (ACAD) Package, send out and track Submittals. Package and send out Closeout Documents. Coordinate with various contracting tiers to acquire information and complete task at hand. Other duties as assigned. Skills and Qualifications Minimum Requirements Minimum of 1 years’ experience in drafting (ACAD). Minimum of 3 years’ experience in HVAC controls. Proficient in operating a computer and understanding of Excel and Adobe. HVAC knowledge is preferred but not required. Ability to plan and see the "big picture". Ability to work long or extended hours to complete task. Ability to work with others. Ability to discuss issues and come up with solutions. Professional image in personal appearance and behavior. Ability to prioritize work and organize tasks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Mature judgment. Attention to detail. Willingness to learn the Siemens Tools required for the job: Design Tool, Commissioning Tool, ABT Site, LaunchPad, etc. This is a Safety Sensitive position.
