Work Environment

This role is based in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Winchester, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist will be responsible for a variety of critical tasks, including:

• Evaluating patients referred by physicians and developing personalized treatment plans.
• Implementing therapeutic interventions and continuously assessing patient progress to optimize outcomes.
• Engaging in thoughtful communication with patients and their caregivers to provide education on treatment plans and self-management techniques.
• Demonstrating excellent customer service skills and contributing to the team dynamics to foster a positive environment.
• Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care that aligns with patients' goals and enhances recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

To qualify for the Physical Therapist position at Korunda Physical Therapy, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from a CAPTE-accredited program.
• A valid state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
• A minimum of two years' experience in a clinical setting.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to ensure effective interaction with patients and colleagues.
• Basic proficiency in word processing and computer skills to facilitate documentation and reporting.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience is required, we prefer candidates with additional specialties in areas like sports medicine, manual therapy techniques, or pediatrics. Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline patient management is also advantageous.
