Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 10 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services.

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Required Credentials: Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching hospital experience is preferred. Community hospital experience is preferred.

Special Requests: RTO must be listed at time of submission. All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Unit Details: Ratios: 1:4 days/nights, 1:5 weekends. Most admissions come from the ED, ICU, or PACU. Works closely with Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy using an interdisciplinary team approach. Dedicated mentors available for new caregivers. Epilepsy Monitoring Unit with 4 designated beds for continuous EEG monitoring. Patient population includes TIA/stroke, trauma, neurosurgical patients (ACDF, TLIF, XLIF, craniotomy), subdural hematoma, and other neurologic/neurosurgical pathologies.

Shift & Scheduling: No call. 6 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
