Job Description: Phlebotomist
Position: Phlebotomist
Experience
Minimum 3 years experience required
Work Schedule
Every other weekend shifts
Holiday shifts included
Job Summary
Responsible for collecting blood and other patient samples, ensuring correct labelling, patient identification, and safe handling of specimens. Works with hospital laboratory systems and supports smooth lab operations.
Key Responsibilities
Collect blood samples through venipuncture and other methods
Collect urine, swabs, and other clinical specimens
Accurately identify and label all samples
Enter patient and test data in HIS/LIS systems
Assist in patient registration and data entry
Handle sample processing (centrifuge, prepare, and send to lab)
Follow safety and hygiene procedures
Communicate with patients and healthcare staff
Perform basic lab tests when required
Requirements
Strong phlebotomy skills
Knowledge of laboratory systems (HIS/LIS)
Good communication and attention to detail
Ability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
