Senior Accountant

We are seeking a temporary Senior Accountant to step in and support core accounting operations, with a strong focus on owning the month-end close process and maintaining accurate financial reporting. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who can quickly integrate into the team and provide immediate impact. Key Responsibilities: • Own and manage the full month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness • Process payments and oversee day-to-day cash activity • Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies • Prepare and issue invoices, ensuring proper documentation and tracking • Manage government grant billing, including compliance and reporting requirements • Support general accounting activities, including journal entries and account analysis Qualifications: • Strong understanding of accounting principles and close processes • Prior experience with ERP implementations and/or data migration efforts • Experience with Lawson ERP strongly preferred • NetSuite experience is a plus This is a hybrid position based in New Orleans, LA requiring onsite work 2-3 days per week.
