Teaching Staff
Mid West NMCAP
The Teaching Staff positions encompass both Teachers and Teacher Assistants who play a crucial role in providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children. Teachers take on the responsibility of planning and implementing curriculum that fosters children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. They observe and assess the progress of each child, maintain engaging classrooms, and promote school readiness goals. Additionally, teachers are required to support children with diverse abilities, communicate regularly with families, maintain classroom records, and participate in ongoing professional development. On the other hand, Teacher Assistants assist teachers in carrying out these responsibilities, often working directly with children to support their learning and development. Both positions ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and licensing regulations, aiming to create environments that enhance children's overall well-being and growth. Bachelor's or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education for Teachers (or as required by Head Start) CDA Credential or willingness to obtain one within required timeframe for Teacher Assistants #J-18808-Ljbffr Mid West NMCAP
