Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Located In:Lake Worth, Florida 33461We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Technologist to support our Specialty Group practice. In this role, you will perform both routine and complex laboratory testing while ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and reliable results to our providers. This position plays a critical role in supporting clinical decision-making and delivering high-quality patient care.The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, maintains a strong commitment to quality and compliance, and demonstrates the ability to adapt within a fast-paced clinical setting.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and complex laboratory testing across areas including chemistry, hematology, immunology, and urinalysisEnsure accuracy, precision, and timely reporting of laboratory resultsOperate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and analyzersAdhere to established quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) protocols; identify and resolve discrepanciesAccurately enter, verify, and release results within the laboratory information system (LIS)Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (CLIA, CAP, and state requirements)Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to clarify orders and communicate critical valuesEnsure proper specimen handling, processing, and integritySupport efficient lab workflow while adapting to changing patient volumesParticipate in validation studies, method comparisons, and process improvement initiativesAssist with onboarding and training of new team members as neededFollow all safety, infection control, and confidentiality guidelinesQualifications & RequirementsAssociate’s degree in Medical Technology or related life science required; Bachelor’s degree preferred2–5 years of clinical laboratory experienceCertification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent) requiredActive Florida Medical Laboratory Technologist license requiredExperience with laboratory information systems (LIS) and automated instrumentation preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentTeam-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to patient careKnowledge of data privacy standards and healthcare regulationsFlexibility to accommodate workflow demands and occasional extended hoursHere are just a few things we offer:Access to health, dental, and vision insuranceHealth Savings AccountEligible for PTO and Holiday payCompany paid life insurance.Access to voluntary short and long-term disability insuranceAccess to additional life insuranceAccess to Accident and Critical Illness Insurance401K with automatic employer contributionMedical Specialists of the Palm Beaches, Inc.
