This role will report to the Senior Manager, Facilities & Real Estate and is based in Fremont, CA. This is a fully on-site role.The Facilities Technician must provide exceptional customer service.Role and ResponsibilitiesInspects completed work for performance with requirements of local building and safety codesPerforms routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on buildings for manufacturing facilities.Must be able to address issues such as leaks, electrical outages, plumbing or HVAC inefficienciesWill monitor systems such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and alarms.Ensures fire safety systems are functional and compliantKeep records of daily inspections and have the ability to understand building maintenance systemPaint, patch walls, and assists with office moves or furniture repairs, and flooring maintenanceCoordinate with contractors and outside service providersPrioritizes daily activities and work order scheduling.Keeps management informed on progress and delays of all preventive maintenance work orders, related jobs, and other repair activities to ensure good customer service.Interacts courteously with the staff, vendors and public; maintains effective working relationshipsCreates P.O.'s PR's for materials and supplies using established guidelines and procedures as required.Participates in safety training and meetings and uses safe working practices at all times.Responds to emergencies as requests activities and repairs.Inspects completed work for performance with requirements of local building and safety codes.Must have a reliable car and a valid driver's license. Driving between buildings is required.Executes on additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.Skills and Experience:5 + years equivalent of proven facilities experienceMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Able to work efficiently with cross functional teamAbility to multitask and have the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.Ability to understand and resolve facilities issues independentlyGood computer and communication skills (written, verbal, and active listening)Highly motivated self-starter, capable of self-management with little to no oversightStrong interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish effective cross-functional working relationshipsStrong requirement to have knowledge of MS Office including Power Point, Excel, and WordBloom Energy is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
