As a Security Officer Credential Verification in West Columbia, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech location, where you will monitor entry points, manage badge access, conduct routine patrols, and help support a secure environment through strong communication and customer service. In this access control role, you will remain visible, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to a caring, agile, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a dynamic technology-focused location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor processing, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas while following established security-related protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting unusual activity, reporting maintenance or access concerns, and supporting a professional environment throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
