Debate Program Coordinator

Key Functions and Expected Performance:

Financial:

• Serving as expense delegate for Debate-related expenses as needed
• Maintains a One Card and serves as Guest Travel Coordinator for guest visitors as needed

Administrative:

• Leading weekly meetings of the Debate team
• Overseeing the research and skill-development of students in the Debate program
• Coordinating practice debates
• Travel both domestically and internationally to support the team during tournaments
• Judge at tournaments as assigned
• Attend debate coaches' meetings

Other:

• Other assignments, as needed.

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Education and Certifications:

• A High School diploma or GED is necessary.
• An Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education is preferred.

Experience and Skills:

• Strong organizational & analytical skills is necessary.
• Resourceful and detail-oriented is necessary.
• Excellent interpersonal written & oral communications skills is necessary.
• Ability to plan, develop, and coordinate multiple projects is preferred.
• Ability to work both as a member of a team & independently is necessary.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (including Word and Excel) is preferred.
• Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
