NSC Staffing has an immediate opening for a Screw Machine Operator in Mason, OH. Pay: $19 - $36 an hour

Position Summary: A Multi-Spindle Screw Machine Operator sets up, operates, and maintains multi-spindle screw machines to produce precision metal or plastic components according to specifications. This role ensures high-quality production, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate multi-spindle screw machines (e.g., Davenport, Acme Gridley)
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
• Select and install tooling, attachments, and machine accessories
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to maintain tolerances
• Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines
• Ensure production meets quality standards and deadlines
• Document production data and report any defects or issues
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED (technical training helpful)
• Experience with multi-spindle screw machines (typically 13+ years)
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and materials
• Attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Lift up to 2550 lbs
• Perform repetitive motions and manual tasks

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing/industrial setting
• Exposure to noise, moving machinery, and metal shavings
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
