Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments of patients and their families to identify emotional, social, and environmental challenges related to their diagnosis or life situation.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring patient and family involvement throughout the process.

• Facilitate effective discharge planning across the multidisciplinary care continuum, coordinating with physicians, insurance providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth transition for patients.

• Provide education and counseling on coping mechanisms and adaptation strategies to support patients and families in managing their conditions.
\n
• Utilize various therapeutic techniques, including crisis intervention, brief and long-term therapies, group sessions, and family therapies when appropriate.

• Deliver in-service training and education to staff and other healthcare professionals, enhancing their understanding of psychosocial issues and interventions.

• Participate in an on-call rotation to address after-hour inquiries and facilitate any urgent patient needs.
\n
• Lead or participate in workshops and educational conferences as a subject matter expert in psychosocial considerations within oncology and detox treatment environments.

• Engage in community service through education, consultation, and volunteer activities, promoting resources available for individuals recovering from mental health and substance use disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on patients in a detoxification setting, many of whom may be grappling with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
