This role focuses on assembling aluminum components and systems used in commercial and multifamily construction projects within a fast-paced production environment. You will work on architectural aluminum systems such as prefabricated balconies, railing systems, and custom aluminum solutions that support large-scale building projects nationwide. This is a 90-day contract-to-hire opportunity with the potential for full-time employment based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aluminum components and systems according to blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to perform mechanical assembly tasks.
• Accurately read and interpret tape measurements to ensure precise cuts, fits, and alignments.
• Work on an assembly line to meet production goals and maintain workflow efficiency.
• Perform general labor tasks associated with mechanical assembly and production operations.
• Troubleshoot and make adjustments during assembly to resolve fit, alignment, or functional issues.
• Conduct basic quality inspection checks to verify that assembled products meet required standards.
• Follow established processes and contribute to a lean, efficient workflow in a manufacturing setting.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe, organized, and productive work area.
• Support construction-related manufacturing activities by assembling products designed for large-scale projects.

Essential Skills

• Proven mechanical assembly experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience using a variety of hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure for precise measurements.
• Capability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Comfort working on an assembly line and performing repetitive tasks while maintaining quality.
• General labor experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with aluminum or metal assembly and fabrication.
• Experience in construction-related manufacturing environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and make adjustments during the assembly process.
• Familiarity with quality inspection processes and standards.
• Understanding of workflow efficiency or lean manufacturing practices.
• Willingness to grow with a specialized manufacturer and take on new responsibilities over time.

Work Environment

This position is based in a production facility focused on architectural aluminum systems for commercial and multifamily construction. You will work primarily with aluminum components using hand tools, power tools, and standard measuring equipment such as tape measures, following blueprints and schematics on an assembly line. The role operates on a Monday through Friday schedule, typically from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes workflow efficiency, safety, and quality. The facility is structured for industrial manufacturing, and you should expect a hands-on, physically active workday in a setting designed for metal and aluminum fabrication.

This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
