Job Qualifications

The ideal Executive Chef candidate in Provincetown, MA will bring the following:

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a fine dining or upscale dinner-service setting
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a kitchen team
• Deep expertise in menu planning, food costing, and inventory management

• Demonstrated ability to execute an established menu with consistency and precision while contributing original ideas that align with the restaurant's identity

• Experience managing ordering, vendor relationships, and kitchen budgets effectively

Job Responsibilities

As the Executive Chef in Provincetown, MA, you will:

• Lead and oversee all kitchen operations at Freemans, ensuring seamless dinner service every night
• Execute the existing menu at the highest level, maintaining food quality, presentation, and consistency across all dishes
• Develop and introduce weekly dinner specials that align naturally with the restaurant's New England and Mediterranean-inspired concept
• Recruit, train, and manage the kitchen team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and culinary pride
• Manage food ordering, inventory, and waste with a sharp eye on cost control and profitability
• Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with local regulations
• Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure a cohesive and exceptional guest experience from kitchen to table
• Continuously evaluate and refine kitchen processes to support the restaurant's ongoing growth and improvement
