Housing: Available About the Role We are seeking a strong Sous Chef to join a high-volume, waterfront restaurant operating in the heart of Provincetown. This is a seafood-driven, guest-focused concept with a blend of elevated casual dining and high-energy seasonal traffic. The menu is centered around New England seafood, raw bar, and coastal American cuisine -including oysters, lobster, fresh catch, flatbreads, and steakhouse-style entrées.
This role requires a leader who can execute at a high level while maintaining consistency in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. Compensation
- Senior Sous Chef: $1,900/week base
- Entry-Level Sous Chef: $1,600/week base
- End-of-Season Bonus (performance-based)
- Housing Provided
- Support the Executive Chef in executing daily kitchen operations across lunch and dinner service
- Lead line operations ensuring quality, consistency, and ticket flow
- Oversee execution of a menu featuring:
- Raw bar (oysters, shrimp cocktail)
- Seafood-focused entrées (cod, lobster, fish & chips)
- High-volume seasonal dishes and shareable starters
- Manage BOH team including training, scheduling, and performance accountability
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and DOH compliance
- Oversee prep systems, ordering, inventory, and cost control
- Assist in building a strong, positive, and accountable kitchen culture
- 2-5+ years in a Sous Chef or kitchen leadership role
- Experience in high-volume seafood or coastal concepts strongly preferred
- Ability to execute consistently under peak seasonal volume
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain)
- Full availability for the duration of the season
- Hands-on leader who thrives on the line
- Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Experience managing teams in busy seasonal markets
- Someone who understands guest experience + execution balance
- A team-first mentality with the ability to drive standards daily
